Spain confirmed its first case of COVID-19 in La Gomera, Canary Islands when a German tourist found COVID-19 positive.

2020-02-13

Spain recorded first death due to coronavirus when a 69-years old man died in Valencia, found COVID-19 positive during his post-mortem.

2020-02-24

A doctor from Lombardy, Italy, who was on holiday in Tenerife, tested COVID-19 positive. Following day few more positive cases received which had a recent history of traveling in different areas in Europe mostly visited Italy.

Nearly 120,000 people participated and gathered for International Women’s Day march in Madrid, Spain.

For taking the coronavirus preventive measures, mostly schools shut down for 2 weeks.
