But the good news is that now the number of cases is decreasing and therefore the Government opened a few of the sectors to return to their work. Spain confirmed its first case of COVID-19 in La Gomera, Canary Islands when a German tourist found COVID-19 positive.


Spain recorded first death due to coronavirus when a 69-years old man died in Valencia, found COVID-19 positive during his post-mortem.


A doctor from Lombardy, Italy, who was on holiday in Tenerife, tested COVID-19 positive. Following day few more positive cases received which had a recent history of traveling in different areas in Europe mostly visited Italy.


Nearly 120,000 people participated and gathered for International Women’s Day march in Madrid, Spain.


For taking the coronavirus preventive measures, mostly schools shut down for 2 weeks.


Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of Spain, declared nationwide State of Alarm (In Spain it is a measure taken by the government in case of emergency) for 15 days


This day government announced the nationwide lock-down to activate social distancing


Prime Minister Sanchez announced a support package of 200 billion euros to deal with the Coronavirus disease.


Spain recorded the highest number of confirmed cases on a single day (in other words) 9,222. Just after 3 days, 950 people died which is the most number of death reported by this country due to the coronavirus


As on this day, a moment to relief for Spain people as the numbers of confirmed cases and deaths are in decreasing slope. Spain recorded the lowest figure of death (in other words) 510 which is lowest after 2020-03-24 number of deaths which was 462


The Spain government gave some relaxation in lockdown to some non-essential sectors who cannot work from home were allowed to return on work.
